Acts 19:11

2 Kings 2:23
- Elisha left Jericho and went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, a group of boys from the town began mocking and making fun of him. "Go away, you baldhead!" they chanted. "Go away, you baldhead!"
- Elisha turned around and looked at them, and he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of them.
- From there Elisha went to Mount Carmel and finally returned to Samaria.
Acts 13:3
- So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.
- Sent out by the Holy Spirit, Saul and Barnabas went down to the seaport of Seleucia and then sailed for the island of Cyprus.
- There, in the town of Salamis, they went to the Jewish synagogues and preached the word of God. (John Mark went with them as their assistant.)
- Afterward they preached from town to town across the entire island until finally they reached Paphos, where they met a Jewish sorcerer, a false prophet named Bar-Jesus.
- He had attached himself to the governor, Sergius Paulus, a man of considerable insight and understanding. The governor invited Barnabas and Saul to visit him, for he wanted to hear the word of God.
Acts 5:1
- There was also a man named Ananias who, with his wife, Sapphira, sold some property.
- He brought part of the money to the apostles, but he claimed it was the full amount. His wife had agreed to this deception.
- Then Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart? You lied to the Holy Spirit, and you kept some of the money for yourself.
- The property was yours to sell or not sell, as you wished. And after selling it, the money was yours to give away. How could you do a thing like this? You weren't lying to us but to God."
- As soon as Ananias heard these words, he fell to the floor and died. Everyone who heard about it was terrified.
1 Timothy 1:20
- Hymenaeus and Alexander are two examples of this. I turned them over to Satan so they would learn not to blaspheme God.
2 Corinthians 13:10
- I am writing this to you before I come, hoping that I won't need to deal harshly with you when I do come. For I want to use the authority the Lord has given me to build you up, not to tear you down.
2 Corinthians 10:8
- I may seem to be boasting too much about the authority given to us by the Lord. But this authority is to build you up, not to tear you down. And I will not be put to shame by having my work among you destroyed.
Luke 9:49

Numbers 16:28

- He had hardly finished speaking the words when the ground suddenly split open beneath them.
- The earth opened up and swallowed the men, along with their households and the followers who were standing with them, and everything they owned.
2 Kings 1:9
- Then he sent an army captain with fifty soldiers to arrest him. They found him sitting on top of a hill. The captain said to him, "Man of God, the king has commanded you to come along with us."
- But Elijah replied to the captain, "If I am a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and destroy you and your fifty men!" Then fire fell from heaven and killed them all.
- So the king sent another captain with fifty men. The captain said to him, "Man of God, the king says that you must come down right away."
- Elijah replied, "If I am a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and destroy you and your fifty men!" And again the fire of God fell from heaven and killed them all.
- Once more the king sent a captain with fifty men. But this time the captain fell to his knees before Elijah. He pleaded with him, "O man of God, please spare my life and the lives of these, your fifty servants.
1 Kings 22:28
